I travel with my dogs - of course we're all well-behaved and responsible. Whether you're a pet owner or not, how do you feel about staying at a resort or hotel where pets are welcomed?

Hi,

Just a note for Canadians. As of a couple weeks ago, Air Canada has stopped allowing any pet, any size, from travelling in the cabin. They will have to go in cargo. They say its an allergy thing.

I, being a pet owner, definately prefer doggy friendly places. However, I definately see an un animal oriented person's point of view. Some pet owners are sloppy and inconsiderate which could pose a problem to the guests that stay in their room next. Some resorts/hotels don't clean properly and a stench might remain in the room. A side note, I know alot of hotels place pet lovers and smokers in the same rooms. GROSS!
